The Baldur’s Gate 3 Platinum Trophy has been unlocked on PS5
Players are using the cross-save system on PC. Developer Larian Studios developed an account system that allows players to easily transfer Baldur’s Gate 3 saves between PC and PS5. The launch of the Xbox version later this year will also support similar progression transfer between PC and Microsoft-owned consoles.
Functionality of the Cross-save System
The functionality of this feature seems straightforward. Interested users only need to create a free Larian account, enable the cross-save feature on PC and console, then log in on their second device. In fact, some PlayStation players have already started unlocking BG3 Trophies through their PC saves.
Pride of Baldur’s Gate & Descent From Avernus
The "Pride of Baldur’s Gate" Platinum has already been achieved by 0.1 percent of PS5 players who’ve connected their accounts to PSNProfiles. Meanwhile, "Descent From Avernus" is a more successful Trophy, with 91 percent of users having unlocked it so far.
Transferring Trophies from Steam to PS5
However, how exactly Trophy hunters on PS5 have transferred their Steam Achievements to Baldur’s Gate 3’s PS5 version is still unclear. In response to a similar question, one person suggested making a save right at the final decision on PC and using a cloud save with a Larian account to load that on PS5, leading to the successful unlocking of those trophies.
Waiting for the Wide Release
Given the absence of specific instructions, PS5 players hoping to transfer Achievements/Trophies may want to wait until Baldur’s Gate 3 gets its wide release on PlayStation, especially since importing Trophy data isn’t always straightforward. Fortunately, the wait won't last long as the much-acclaimed CRPG will officially be available on PS5 on Wednesday, September 6.
