Players are using the cross-save system on PC. Developer Larian Studios developed an account system that allows players to easily transfer Baldur’s Gate 3 saves between PC and PS5. The launch of the Xbox version later this year will also support similar progression transfer between PC and Microsoft-owned consoles.

Functionality of the Cross-save System

The functionality of this feature seems straightforward. Interested users only need to create a free Larian account, enable the cross-save feature on PC and console, then log in on their second device. In fact, some PlayStation players have already started unlocking BG3 Trophies through their PC saves.

Waiting for the Wide Release

Given the absence of specific instructions, PS5 players hoping to transfer Achievements/Trophies may want to wait until Baldur’s Gate 3 gets its wide release on PlayStation, especially since importing Trophy data isn’t always straightforward. Fortunately, the wait won't last long as the much-acclaimed CRPG will officially be available on PS5 on Wednesday, September 6.
